Internetology - Domain Name Transfers

To transfer a .uk (.co.uk, .org.uk, .ltd.uk, .plc.uk or .net.uk) domain name to our servers you will need to contact us so we can prepare the transfer request and setup your domain records.

You will then need to send the following block of text to your existing ISP or domain registrar.

We would like to transfer our domain name: [enter the domain to be transferred] to a new ISP.
Please arrange to transfer the IPSTAG of this domain to a new IPSTAG of DMPRIEST.

It would be appreciated if you could make these changes as soon as possible.

Once the transfer has been completed or if you have any questions please contact us at [enter your email address] or call us on [enter your telephone number].

Please note some ISP's or domain registrars will accept this via email but most will require this to be faxed to them on your headed letterhead paper. We would suggest that once you have faxed it - you should call them to ensure they have received and will be processing the change request.

Some ISP's also now offer an online transfer process via a 'Control Panel' in these cases, once you have logged in and made the transfer request, we will take charge of the process from there.

To check the status of your domain name using our WHOIS database lookup please do a search for your domain name. You will be able to see it has been transferred once the record includes the line: "Domain Registered By: DMPRIEST".

Once your existing ISP has confirmed the change has been completed - contact us so we can complete the setup of your DNS records and any other required services.
