Internetology - Domain Name TransfersTo transfer a .uk (.co.uk, .org.uk, .ltd.uk, .plc.uk or .net.uk) domain name to our servers you will need to contact us so we can prepare the transfer request and setup your domain records. You will then need to send the following block of text to your existing ISP or domain registrar.
Please note some ISP's or domain registrars will accept this via email but most will require this to be faxed to them on your headed letterhead paper. We would suggest that once you have faxed it - you should call them to ensure they have received and will be processing the change request. Some ISP's also now offer an online transfer process via a 'Control Panel' in these cases, once you have logged in and made the transfer request, we will take charge of the process from there. To check the status of your domain name using our WHOIS database lookup please do a search for your domain name. You will be able to see it has been transferred once the record includes the line: "Domain Registered By: DMPRIEST". Once your existing ISP has confirmed the change has been completed -
contact us so we can complete the
setup of your DNS records and any other required services. |
